Frequently asked questions
We get it—this isn’t exactly small talk. That’s why we’ve laid it all out: how the tech works, what the experience is like, how many sessions you might need, and why guys keep coming back. No judgment. No fluff. Just straight answers to help you feel confident, clear, and ready to move forward.
The technology
How is your ED therapy different from other St. George clinics?
Many places still use shallow radial waves. We use focused linear energy with PiezoWave2—the high-end, high-precision gear. That means deeper results, fewer sessions, and smarter performance.
Is this shockwave therapy proven?
Yes. Acoustic wave systems like PiezoWave2 have been studied around the world for their effects on circulation and performance. No pills. No needles. Just focused energy and a smart protocol. For more on how this works, visit our ED therapy page.
Is this therapy safe?
Yes. It’s non-invasive, FDA-cleared for regenerative use, and has minimal risk. At most, a little soreness—no side effects.
Is everyone a good fit?
Not always. We’ll screen you before starting. If you’ve had recent cancer, are on blood thinners, or have certain pelvic conditions, we’ll talk it through.
Sessions & Results
Does acoustic wave therapy for Erectile Dysfunction (ED) hurt?
Not at all. It feels like a tapping sensation—some guys barely notice it. A little sensitivity is normal and usually means the energy’s hitting where it should.
How many ED therapy sessions will I need?
Most guys notice a shift in 4–6 sessions. We’ll help build the right plan based on your goals—no pressure, no upsell games. Our Pricing & Packages page breaks down what to expect.
What kind of ED does this help with?
We don’t diagnose or treat medical conditions, but many of our guests dealing with blood flow–related performance issues (often called vasculogenic erectile dysfunction) report a real difference. If your challenges are stress or hormone-related, this might not be the right fit.
Can this help with Peyronie’s or chronic pelvic tension?
PiezoWave2 is also used in other settings to address scar tissue and localized discomfort. We’re happy to explain what the sessions involve and help you decide if it’s a good match.
What’s an ED therapy session like?
You’ll be in and out in about 20–30 minutes. Sessions include 8–10 minutes of focused linear acoustic wave application and complimentary red light therapy. No pain. No downtime.
Do you take insurance?
We don’t accept insurance—and that’s by design. Most insurance doesn’t cover wellness-based or non-medical ED support like this. And honestly, that’s a good thing. It lets us skip the red tape, the codes, and the copays—and focus entirely on delivering results. No claims, no surprises, just progress on your terms.
What kind of results can I expect from erectile dysfunction therapy?
Most men report improved performance, sensitivity, and confidence after 4–6 sessions. One study showed 81% success, but results vary. Lifestyle matters too—hydration, exercise, and sleep all play a role. Learn more on our Why It Works page.
How long do results last?
Many guests feel the benefits for 12–24 months. We’ll give you tips to help extend the momentum.
Will I need touch-ups later?
Possibly. Some guys book a follow-up session to keep things sharp. We offer discounted tune-ups for 12 months after your original plan.
Grooming and add-ons
Can I book FlashGroom without ED therapy?
Absolutely. It’s the perfect excuse to check out the lounge and walk out sharper than you walked in. Learn more on our FlashGroom page.
What is FlashGroom?
A $25 ear + nose trim, cedar-scented towel, and a boost of red light therapy. Quick, smart, and damn satisfying.
Discounts are available when added to ED treatment alternatives.
What’s the Cover Story Combo package?
It’s a combo: one of our À La Carte ED therapy sessions plus a FlashGroom. You save a little and leave with the kind of detail most guys miss.
Privacy
Will anyone know why I’m really there?
Only if you tell them. Come in for a FlashGroom. Sip a protein shake. Scroll your phone. The lounge is built for discretion—and we keep it that way.
Booking and packages
How do I book my sessions?
If you bought a package, you’ll get an email to set up your Apex account. From there, you can log in anytime to schedule your sessions.
If you booked a single session, you’ll choose your date and time at checkout—no extra steps needed. Plan on your FlashGroom’s being during sessions 2, 4, and 6, unless you opted out.
How do I get my discounted rate on future sessions?
As a package guest, you unlock exclusive pricing for the next 12 months. To use it, just call, email, or book in-lounge and we’ll apply your guest-only rate.
How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
You’ve got options. To manage your appointments on your own, you can log into your account at theapexlounge.com to make changes, or give us a call or text us, and we can take care of you. You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before your session—after that, the time is locked in.
What if I cancel late?
We get it—things come up. But to respect everyone’s time, any session canceled less than 24 hours before your appointment is non-refundable and can’t be rescheduled. That time was held just for you.
If there’s a serious reason, you’re welcome to reach out—but late cancellations are typically final.
